I’m pleased to announce that our Annual General Meeting will be on Tuesday 13 September at 4.30pm.
In what has been a pivotal year of change for us all, as our association and company transition to Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) regulation, it’s particularly important that we take this opportunity to come together. The work carried out by our members to prepare for regulation has been monumental and I would like to thank you all for leading the way by embracing the changes. As well as reflecting on our achievements, I’m excited to look ahead as an association. Ensuring we continue to be at the forefront of best practice with our customer-centric principles will of course be a focus, alongside supporting the future of independent funeral businesses.
We want to make the meeting as accessible as possible to allow members to engage in amongst your busy schedules. Therefore, the meeting will take place virtually as a Microsoft Teams live event.
Register now
In order to join the meeting, please register to attend on our AGM page - https://www.saifcharter.co.uk/agm2022, no later than noon on Monday 12 September. We’ll share the details of how to join the meeting by email to all registered attendees no later than 12pm on Tuesday 13 September.
AGM updates at saifcharter.co.uk
The meeting agenda, and related presentations will be available in the secure members’ area of saifcharter.co.uk in advance of the meeting. Our 2021 AGM recording and minutes are also available here. The meeting will include our regular reporting, pre-submitted questions, and the election of Executive members. There are three positions available for election this year with James Morris’s term coming up for renewal, and two positions arising as a result of Helen Wathall’s term coming to an end and John Tempest standing down. Candidates’ biographies and the ability to vote will be made available online.
Executive nominations
Any eligible member seeking to put themselves forward for election should contact our Secretary at secretary@saifcharter.co.uk to provide their written nomination. The deadline for intimating an interest is 2 August, six weeks in advance of the AGM, which allows time to publicise candidates’ details in advance of the vote.
I hope you will be able to join us on Tuesday 13 September to work together to support the successful, sustainable future of independent funeral businesses.
Best wishes,
Adam K Ginder
SAIFCharter Chairman
